Working as a sterile processing technician
A sterile processing technician (välinehuoltaja) ensures that the instruments used in medical care examinations and procedures are clean and ready for use, washing, disinfecting and packing the instruments and equipment and inspecting their condition and functionality.
At Seure, jobs for sterile processing technicians are offered in specialised medical care by HUS in particular: at Meilahti, Jorvi, Lohja and Porvoo hospitals and, from time to time, in workplaces offered by the cities and wellbeing services counties.
In order to work as a sterile processing technician, you must have the Vocational or Further Vocational Qualification in Equipment Maintenance. We also recruit students who have already completed a few practical training periods.
Sterile processing technician’s salary
Our job advertisements indicate the exact salary or wages with possible bonuses. In gig work (on-demand work), wages are paid twice a month.
