Working as an institutional cleaner
Institutional cleaner’s (välinehuoltaja) work involves basic and maintenance cleaning as well as other service duties.
In residential care homes, the cleaning area encompasses the residents’ rooms, shared spaces, on-call facilities, offices, break room and dining room. An institutional cleaner’s job may include both cleaning and food service tasks.
An institutional cleaner’s work mostly consists of gigs, lasting from one day to a few days. Shifts take place on weekday mornings and evenings, but weekend shifts are also available.
Gigs are available regularly throughout the year. We require institutional cleaners to have similar previous work experience or training in the field.
